Guitar Lessons
Life of the Party or quiet soul mate.
Guitar is the instrument of the shy and the extrovert alike. For me, it has been a constant and useful companion I've used for songwriting, soloing, band playing, and rhythm and bass. It suits every genre and can take you from the softest sound to thrash metal. It plays melody, rhythm, percussion, bass, and harmony. It's a bit tricky to start with so for a nipper a ukelele is an alternative. Don't get me started on the wonders of the ukelele...
Piano Lessons
Customized to Fit Your Needs
Piano is a guitar in a very large box. Like the guitar, it is for the shy expressive soloist and for playing with others. My style of teaching begins with the students' tastes in music. Taking the music they already love and making it possible for them to play it. For this, I individualise the music provided to suit their levels and throw in the basic exercises and note reading throughout using a variety of techniques such as games, sight-reading cards, and actual drumming activities. It's a holistic fun way of learning tailored to your needs...
Voice Lessons
Personalized Attention
Voice is an incredible journey of self-discovery and confidence building. I encourage singing in all of my instrument lessons to advance the inner ear which is fundamental to music. My years in the National Youth Choir, bands, and Accapella singing have given me loads of tools and experience. Vocal lessons are the most flexible due to the individuality of the person's journey and voice. There are many techniques that can help singers however the most important element is the amount of time they spend singing EVERDAY.  Voice lessons are an intimate journey into sound and self and my voice lessons are fun, safe, motivational, and very well priced!
